Odessa "Missy" (Coley) Cunningham

PINEVIEW, GA-

Mrs. Odessa (Coley) Cunningham was born on January 1, 1944 to Mr. Charlie Coley and Rosa (Clark) Coley in Rochelle, Georgia.

She was educated in the Wilcox County School System.

She was a faithful member of Wells Temple C.OG.IC in Miami until she relocated back to Georgia. After relocating back to Georgia, she attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Missy met and married the love of her life, Mr. Willie Cunningham of Ocilla, Georgia. Together, they made a home for all to feel welcome.

“Missy” as she was affectionately called, was a mild-mannered woman who never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and cooking. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Odessa, was a well known gospel soloist going from church to church singing GODS AMAZING GRACE. She enjoyed baking cakes and pies. Furthermore she was known throughout Pineview as “the sweetest lady I know”

Odessa passed away peacefully from this life on Monday, January 22, 2024 at her residence in Pineview, GA with her son at her bedside. She joined the ranks of her family who preceded her in death; her parents; her children, Delores Morgan and Jerome Morgan; her siblings, George Coley, Susie (Coley) Burns, Willie Coley and James Coley.

Her presence, her memory, and love will forever be cherished by her son, Mr. John Morgan of Pineview, GA; her two dogs, Missy and Bambi; one cat, Nemo; siblings, Mattie C. (Coley) Williams of Miami, FL, Louise (Coley) Sanford of Jacksonville, Fl, Charlie Coley, Jr. of Rochelle, GA, David Coley of Miami, Fl, Blondie (Coley) Maine, Dorothy (Coley) Holloway both of Albany, GA, Otha Coley Balom of Abbeville, GA, Robert Balkman of Tampa, Fl, Wendy Sameee of Maryland; special friends, Frances Daniels, Mary Rivers, Susan Conner and Joseph Bloodworth; cousins, other family members and several other friends.
