Mark Anthony Lyons, Sr.

FOREST PARK, GA-

Mark Anthony Lyons, Sr. was the third child of Melvin Lyons, Sr. And Grace D. Lyons who both proceeded him in death. Mark attended and graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio where he played football. Mark was a huge sports fan, but his favorite team was the Cleveland Browns. Mark loved to hang out with friends, he proclaimed to be a great cook like his dad.

Mark worked several jobs, he was a carpet installer at one point in his life when he lived in Cleveland, Ohio. Mark moved to Georgia in 2016 but it has always been like a second home to him. After moving to Georgia, Mark worked at UPS for several years but his last employment prior to his death was at Advanced Auto Parts.

Mark loved his family and friends. Mark loved to be the life of the party and he enjoyed the time spent with loved ones. Mark was very knowledgeable in many subjects and he had a smile that would light up a room. If you knew Mark A. Lyons, Sr., you had to love him because he had that kind of effect on people.

On Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Southern Regional Medical Center, Riverdale, Mark was called home to be present with the Lord.

Mark leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Mark Anthony Lyons II of Macedonia, OH; two brothers, Melvin (Leigh-Anne) Lyons, Jr. of Strongsville, OH and Michael Lyons of Palo Alto, CA; Nineteen aunts; Four uncles: Eleven nieces and nephews; Nineteen great nieces and nephews; Many cousins; and a host of other family and friends that loved and will miss Mark dearly.
